Home Prices in South Florida Continue To Rise!
Home prices are continuing on a gradual climb across South Florida neighborhoods. Since the beginning of this year, home prices rose 16.5 percent according to the latest S&P/ Case-Shiller Home Price Indices.
The consecutive year gain for the Miami region exceeds the 13.5 percent increase for the 10-city compound that is tracked by Case-Shiller.
South Florida comprises Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties and is one of the seven metropolitan areas to show price increases from late 2013 to early 2014.
The index is currently showing that South Florida home prices are at their highest levels since August 2008. Throughout the nation home prices have slackened for the third consecutive month this year, due in large part to severe winter weather.
