Fort Lauderdale Real Estate Ranks 6 For Most Searched Communities in 2008

View | Ritz Carlton Fort Lauderdale FloridaIn a recent CNNMoney.com article, Zip Realty reports the most searched zip codes and communities in 2008 for real estate searches.   Fort Lauderdale Real Estate ranked #6 in most searched communities.  With all the news about the declining real estate market nationwide, this report reveals that there are buyers still searching for homes and condos and it is interesting to learn where the most popular searches are.

Perhaps as the real estate bottom reveals itself, this may be a quick look into where the first areas to rebound will be?

  1. John, what’s your market time for your listings right now? In Las Vegas it’s about 160 days. Do you have as many foreclosures as I’ve heard on the media? My mom lives in South Beach and she’s saying the market is still very depressed, what are your thoughts? Great blog, I’ll keep you in mind if I have any Ft. Lauderdale referrals.

  2. Felipe – listing time is all over the place, but that sounds about right. Yes, we have a good amount of foreclosures and short sales. These are challenging times, but like every cycle it comes full turn. There are incredible buying opportunities here in areas once unaffordable combined with low interest rates that may soon rise should get buyers thinking about buying.
