Secured Loan: A loan that is guaranteed by some form of collateral, usually the home
Servicer: A financial company that collects mortgage payments from borrowers and applies the appropriate amounts to principal, interest and any escrow accounts
Sheathing: The material under the siding or exterior walls
Single Family Property: A property that accommodates one family
Soffit: The underside of the top of a wall
Stucco: A material that gives texture to an exterior or interior wall
Stud: Metal or wood post in the framing of a wall used for support
Subdivision: A residential community or neighborhood that is created by separating lots within a piece of land
